Who can Chelsea face in Champions League last 16 draw?

Chelsea secured their place in the draw for the last-16 of the Champions League with a 2-1 win over Lille at Stamford Bridge on Tuesday night.

The Blues finished second in a tight Group H, with last season’s semi-finalists Ajax crashing out – but things could be about to get much tougher for Frank Lampard’s side.

The dream draw would be German side RB Leipzig, who have easily the least European pedigree of the five group winners who Chelsea could face (they cannot face fellow English sides Liverpool and Man City, or Valencia, who won their group).

Beyond the Bundesliga outfit, only traditional European heavyweights await.

Barcelona completed an unbeaten group stage with a 2-1 triumph over Inter Milan on Tuesday, having already sealed their place at the top of Group F.

Bayern Munich have won all five of their games to date to have Group B sewn up, led by the competition’s top scorer, Robert Lewandowski, who has scored ten goals already in the group stage.

Paris Saint-Germain have emerged at the head of a group that also included 13-times winners Real Madrid, and will no doubt be a huge threat as they target a first Champions League win.

Or, finally, they could meet Italian champions Juventus, which would set up an intriguing reunion with former boss Maurizio Sarri.

The draw for the last 16 takes place at 11am GMT on Monday, 16 December.

Chelsea's possible opponents

Barcelona, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig.
