Who can Wales play in the World Cup play-offs and when are they?

Wales earned themselves a home World Cup play-off semi-final tie by claiming a 1-1 draw with Belgium.

Kieffer Moore cancelled out Kevin De Bruyne's opener in the Welsh capital to ensure the points were shared.

It means Rob Page's men will play on home soil in next year's play-off semi-final, with a draw to determine the host of the final.

The draw for the play-offs takes place in Zurich, Switzerland at 4pm (UK time) on Friday, November 26.

Given that Wales are seeded for the semi-final, there are only six different teams they can face in the last four contest.

Seeded teams: Portugal, Scotland, Italy, Russia, Sweden, Wales.

Unseeded teams: Poland, North Macedonia, Turkey, Ukraine, Czech Republic, Austria.

The 12 teams will be drawn into three play-off paths, with the winner of each path earning a spot at the next World Cup.

The winner of both one-legged semi-finals in each path will face off in a final to determine the path winner.

The play-offs run from March 24 to 29 next year. The World Cup itself takes place in Qatar between November 21 and December 18 in 2022.
