Manchester City navigated a tricky UEFA Champions League group to finish top and give themselves an easier draw in the Round of 16.
Finishing ahead of Paris Saint-Germain and RB Leipzig, Pep Guardiola's side will head into the knockout stages of Europe's premier club competition as one of the teams others will want to avoid.
Though they lost their last game to Leipzig, there was nothing riding on the game and rivals will be aware that City will be out to go one better after losing to Chelsea in last season's final.
Though the final group games are yet to be played, the Blues still have some idea of who they could potentially face over two legs when the competition resumes in 2022.
Qualified teams
Twelve teams have secured their place in the last-16, with just four more places up for grabs on Wednesday.
- Manchester City
- PSG
- Liverpool
- Atletico Madrid
- Ajax
- Sporting Lisbon
- Real Madrid
- Inter Milan
- Bayern Munich
- Manchester United
- Chelsea
- Juventus
Due to competition rules, City won't play any team that finishes top of their group or any of their English opponents in Liverpool, the aforementioned Chelsea or neighbours Manchester United. They will also not face PSG, who they played in Group A.
And being a seeded team, they are guaranteed to play their first knockout game away, meaning they will get the advantage of playing the second leg at the Etihad stadium.
However, this year's tournament will be the first without the away-goal rule.
Atletico Madrid , Sporting , Inter Milan and Juventus are all guaranteed to progress, giving City a rough idea of what could be coming in the near future.
Every team in Group G - Lille , RB Salzburg , Sevilla and Wolfsburg - could qualify as runners up on Wednesday night.
As could Villarreal and Atalanta in Group F with the pair playing each other. The Yellow Submarines only need to draw to finish behind United.
In Group E, Barcelona travel to Bayern Munich needing a win to finish in second place, while Benfica hope to overcome Dynamo Kiev while hoping the German scan do them a favour.
The last-16 draw will be made on Monday, December 13.
The first legs will be played across February 15, 16, 22 and 23, with the second legs across March 8, 9, 15 and 16.
