Who are the new hosts of The Grand Tour?

Amazon Prime’s hit series came to an end in September 2024 and saw the departure of the iconic ex-Top Gear trio, Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond.

But, the show is far from over, and as reported by The Sun, three new faces are now set to take the wheel.

The new trio comprises YouTubers Thomas Holland and James Engelsmans, known for their car content, and social media star and train expert Francis Bourgeois.

But who are these new faces? And what will they bring to the new series of The Grand Tour?

Arguably the most famous of the trio, Bourgeois rose to fame with his trainspotting videos on social media. He has amassed 2.4 million followers on Instagram alone and describes himself as both “a railway enthusiast and mechanical engineer”.

His videos about trainspotting have gone viral and garnered the attention of singer Joe Jonas and even the Prince and Princess of Wales.

Outside of making social media content, Bourgeois has collaborated with brands such as Gucci and The North Face in a modelling career. He has also authored a book, The Trainspotter’s Notebook, and hosted a Channel 4 series titled Trainspotting with Franics Bourgeois.

Thomas Holland

One half of the duo behind Throttle House, a automotive YouTube channel sharing car content and track tests. The channel currently has more than 3.2 million subscribers.

Holland, who is originally from Canada, founded Throttle House in 2015.

James Engelsman

UK-born Engelsman joined Throttle House in 2018 and is the second half of the automotive-obsessed duo.

What are the former presenters doing now?

The trio left Top Gear in 2015 following an alleged altercation between Clarkson and the producer at the time. They then created the Grand Tour in 2016, before it was dissolved last year.

Clarkson has not left our screens and has been enjoying success with his Clarkson’s Farm series on Amazon Prime Video.

After The Grand Tour came to an end, May has been working on a new series for Amazon titled Our Man In, whilst Hammond has teamed up with his daughter Isabella to launch a new podcast series.
