Election time is almost here, with local election set to take place on Friday, May 24.
There are four councils in the capital - South Dublin County, Dublin City, Fingal County and Dun Laoghaire Rathdown County.
South Dublin County Council has 40 members, and there are seven electoral areas that make up those numbers.
They are Clondalkin, Firhouse-Bohernabreena, Lucan, Palmerstown-Fonthill, Rathfarnham-Templeogue, Tallaght Central and Tallaght South.
There is a minimum of five seats and a maximum of seven seats in each electoral area - the number of seats are assigned by the Boundary Commission.
Here's how many seats there are for each area, and a list of the candidates looking to be elected:
