The arrests of two YouTubers who had been closely following the Nancy Guthrie abduction case have sparked strong reactions online. Alexander Zabel, better known as Alex, and Troy Bradshaw, known online as DAA Juice, were arrested outside Guthrie’s Tucson, Arizona, home on June 8. According to KOLD News 13, Zabel was charged with obstructing a highway or thoroughfare and public nuisance, while Bradshaw was charged with public nuisance.

The arrests became a major talking point on social media. Many users criticized Pima County Sheriff Chris Nanos and the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, claiming the action could discourage independent coverage of the case. Others argued that the YouTubers had played a role in keeping public attention on the investigation into Guthrie’s disappearance.
