Whitney Houston's pal Robyn Crawford finally breaks silence on secret lesbian romance

Whitney Houston's pal Robyn Crawford has broken her silence on their romance.

The late singer's assistant told all the details about the night they spent together and the "physical" relationship they had together.

Whitney took the secrets of their romance to the grave when she was found dead in her bathtub in February 2012.

Years on, Robyn has recalled how their love was born out of a spontaneous kiss which led to the couple enjoying a night of passion together.

Whitney and Robyn first crossed paths when the singer was 16 at a 1980 summer camp, in Houston.

The author detailed how she and Whitney grew close after they became romantically involved with each other.

"Our friendship was a deep friendship," she told NBC's Dateline. "In the early part of that friendship, it was physical.

"It was during that first summer that we met... It was the first time our lips touched. And it wasn’t anything planned, it just happened.

"And it felt wonderful. And then not long after that we spent the night together. And that evening was the night that we touched. And that just brought us closer."

Robyn has been cashing in on their love affair by spilling the beans in her new memoir A Song For You which revisits their relationship.

She claimed she wants to bring what Whitney was truly like to the public with her new book.

In regards to their romance, the writer stated the pair didn't discuss "labels" or identify themselves as "lesbian".

Instead, she said the couple hoped their romance would last "forever".

In her new book, she wrote: “We never talked about labels, like lesbian or gay. We just lived our lives and I hoped it could go on that way forever.”
