A man is fighting for life after being stabbed amid reports of fighting in Whitechapel.
Tower Hamlets Police said he was rushed to an east London hospital in a critical condition.
Officers were called to the scene in Turner Street at 2.05pm.
Two men have been arrested, police said.
A statement from Tower Hamlets Police said: "Police were called at 14:05hrs on Saturday, 12 October to reports of men fighting in Turner Street, Whitechapel.
"A male [no further details] was found suffering from stab injuries. He was conveyed to an east London hospital, where his condition is described as critical.
"Two males [no further details] were arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder and have been taken into custody.
"A crime scene is in place.
"Anyone who has information that could assist police with regards this incident is asked to call 101 ref CAD 4085/12 Oct."
