Eron Miah was shot dead outside his home in east London

Two men have been charged with murdering an estate agent who was shot in the head in east London.

Father-of-two Eron Miah was found with a head injury in Nelson Street, Whitechapel, on November 21.

He died in hospital two days later.

Hassan Mohammed, 31, of Cumberland Road, Portsmouth, was arrested on November 24 and charged with murder on November 27, Scotland Yard said on Tuesday night.

Nanu Miah, 20, of Brandon Street, Southwark, was arrested on November 28 and charged with murder the following day.

Both men appeared in Thames Magistrates' Court and have been remanded to appear at the Old Bailey on February 14.

Mr Miah, originally from Bangladesh, had a seven-year-old son and 17-year-old daughter.

He was described by neighbours as a "loving father" who doted on his son, has shocked his community.

One said: “[Eron] was a family man, and a loving father. It’s shocking because we’re all neighbours and it’s just even quieter now he has gone."
