White van repeatedly smashes into house before driver flees

A white van was used as a battering ram to repeatedly smash into the wall of a house.

It happened in Langley Street, Dingle, at around 7.40pm yesterday (Wednesday).

Merseyside Police said the white Transit van had "repeatedly reversed" into the wall of the property.

A spokesperson said: "The van was abandoned at the scene and has been recovered for forensic examination.

"There are no reports of anyone being injured.

"The occupants of the van are believed to have left the area in a Ford Focus.

"House-to-house enquiries have been carried out."
