A gang of men jumped from a large white van and battered someone in a horror morning attack at a Scots home.
Cops have launched a probe after 'an individual' was seriously assaulted at a home in the Redkirk area of Gretna at around 9.30am this morning.
They say the 'individual' was left injured and the incident involved a group of men and a white van.
Cops have appealed for anyone with any information or footage to come forward.
A statement from Dumfries and Galloway division today reads: "About 0930 hours on Saturday, a serious assault took place at an address in the Redkirk area of Gretna during which time an individual was injured.
"The incident involved a large white van and a number of males.
"We are seeking assistance from members of the public who were in the area at that time and who may have witnessed the incident.
"We are also appealing for drivers who were in the area at that time who may have dash cam footage of the incident.
"Any information can be reported through the 101 contact number quoting incident reference 1124 of the 4th September 2021."
