MINNEAPOLIS _ The Twins have postponed Friday night's game against the White Sox at Target Field due to a forecast of rain, snow and cold.
The final two games of the four-game series Saturday and Sunday are also in question due to a storm set to hit Minneapolis on Friday night. Some forecasts predict up to a foot of snow to fall by Saturday night.
The Twins topped the Sox, 4-0, in the chilly but dry opener on Thursday.
"We still have to get some work (even with postponements)," Sox manager Rick Renteria said Thursday. "We might try to work in the cages, get some pens done in the cages. We'll do what we can, whatever the weather permits us to do, and then just adjust, just keep going."
Sox right-hander Reynaldo Lopez was scheduled to take the mound Friday. The Twins hadn't announced who they planned to start as of Friday morning.
Friday's game is the second postponement for the Sox in 13 games. Their game April 1 in Kansas City was also postponed, and they moved a night game this week against the Rays to the afternoon to avoid cold weather.
