HOUSTON _ The White Sox lost 2-1 to the Astros on Sunday to get swept in their four-game series, ending their road trip at 2-8 and falling 30 games under .500 at 30-60.
But a more immediate concern is Avisail Garcia's recurring hamstring issues.
The Sox right fielder was removed in the sixth inning with right hamstring tightness, the same injury that put him on the disabled list for two months.
Garcia has been the Sox's hottest hitter, with eight home runs in 12 games entering Sunday's series finale. He's their most valuable trade chip if they're willing to deal him before the July 31st deadline, though the Sox don't seem inclined to do so.
Lucas Giolito came in with the highest ERA in baseball, but turned in his best effort of the season, allowing two runs on two hits over 7 1/3 innings.
Jose Altuve's solo home run on the first pitch of the fourth was the only hit off Giolito until the seventh.
The Sox tied it up in the seventh on Tim Anderson's sacrifice fly, but Yuli Gurriel doubled leading off the bottom of the inning, moved to third on a fly to center and scored on a squeeze bunt by Marwin Gonzalez on an 0-2 pitch.
Joakim Soria entered with two on in the eighth and struck out Alex Bregman and Altuve to escape the jam.
Former Cubs reliever Hector Rondon pitched a perfect ninth, striking out Adam Engel to seal the sweep.
