MINNEAPOLIS _ Jose Abreu and Melky Cabrera each drove in three runs as the White Sox tied a season high for runs in an 11-4 victory over the Twins on Friday night at Target Field.
Abreu extended his on-base streak to 29 straight games as the Sox broke a four-game losing streak. He had three hits and three RBIs, starting with a single to short center field to drive in Adam Eaton for a 1-0 lead in the first against Twins right-hander Kyle Gibson.
He added a two-run single in the eighth off reliever Alex Wimmers to help the Sox pull away.
