White Sox place catcher Welington Castillo on family leave list, recall Seby Zavala from Class AAA

The White Sox will recall catcher Seby Zavala from Class AAA Charlotte and place catcher Welington Castillo on the family medical emergency leave list before tonight’s game against the Phillies in Philadelphia, according to a source.

The Sox will also recall first baseman Matt Skole from Charlotte. First baseman AJ Reed was optioned to Charlotte after the team’s 4-0 loss to the Mets Thursday.

This will be Zavala’s second stint with the Sox this season.
