White Sox looking to win fourth in a row

July 04--Only once this season have the White Sox won at least four games in a row. They will try to make it twice Saturday when they face the Orioles at 1:10 p.m. at U.S. Cellular Field.

After a two-game sweep of the National League Central-leading Cardinals and a 1-0 victory Friday against the Orioles, Jeff Samardzija (5-4, 4.56) took the mound for the Sox against Chris Tillman (6-7, 5.67).

The Orioles (42-38) began the day in second place in the American League East, a game behind the Yankees. The White Sox (35-42) are 10 games behind the Royals in the AL Central and 5 1/2; games out of a wild-care spot.

The Sox have won seven of 11 games. Five of their last six and 12 of their last 18 have been decided by one run. They are 5-7 in those games.

Jose Abreu's 50th career home run and seven shutout innings from John Danks were the difference in Friday's victory.
