May 21--Royals 2, White Sox 1
The White Sox's sixth loss in seven games followed a familiar pattern: The Sox didn't score runs and wasted a quality start. The victim this time was Miguel Gonzalez, who pitched six strong innings Saturday during a 2-1 loss to the Royals (22-20) in front of 27,631 at U.S. Cellular Field. The Sox (25-18) managed seven hits. Their lone run scored on a double play off the bat of Jose Abreu in the seventh.

In the field
The White Sox turned their second 3-6-3 double play in two days when Jerry Sands and Tyler Saladino hooked up to double up Eric Hosmer to end the Royals' eighth.

The quote
"He's had some tough assignments already. He opened in Toronto, he had texas, new york. Not easy lineups, not easy places to pitch at. I think he just continues to pitch the way that he has and I think that'll happen for him." -- Robin Ventura on Gonzalez.
