June 04--ARLINGTON, Texas -- The Rangers took a 1-0 lead in the first inning against White Sox left-hander Carlos Rodon at Globe Life Park when Prince Fielder hit an RBI single by second baseman Carlos Sanchez. Rodon then struck out three straight batters to leave runners on the corners.
At the plate
Sox center fielder Adam Eaton will lead off, followed by left fielder Melky Cabrera, designated hitter Jose Abreu, first baseman Adam LaRoche, right fielder Avisail Garcia, shortstop Alexei Ramirez, third baseman Gordon Beckham, catcher Tyler Flowers and second baseman Carlos Sanchez.
On the mound
Rodon enters with a 1-0 record and 3.45 ERA. He faces Rangers right-hander Yovani Gallardo, who is 5-6 with a 3.88 ERA.
In the field
LaRoche will make his fifth straight start at first base as Abreu continues to recover from a bruised right index finger.
