White Sox left-hander John Danks gave up four earned runs on seven hits in 52/3 innings Thursday as the Royals swept the Sox with a 4-1 victory at Kauffman Stadium. Danks, who entered the game 7-0 overall against the Royals, gave up a first-inning run but then pitched four scoreless innings until the Royals broke through in the sixth.
Lorenzo Cain had a leadoff double and Kendrys Morales doubled him home. Salvador Perez then hit a two-out, two-run homer for a four-run lead.
