Aug. 12--White Sox manager Robin Ventura will give designated hitter Adam LaRoche the night off when the Sox host the Angels for the second game in a three-game series Tuesday at U.S. Cellular Field. Melky Cabrera will serve as the DH and rookie Trayce Thompson will play in left field as the Sox try to win back-to-back games for the first time since July 28-29.

Sox center fielder Adam Eaton will lead off, followed by third baseman Tyler Saladino, first baseman Jose Abreu, Cabrera, right fielder Avisail Garcia, shortstop Alexei Ramirez, second baseman Carlos Sanchez, catcher Tyler Flowers and Thompson.

Sox rookie Carlos Rodon enters with a 4-4 ERA and a 5.00 ERA. He faces former Sox left-hander Hector Santiago, who is 7-5 with a 2.78 ERA in his second season for the Angels.
