April 22--The White Sox and Indians traded home runs early Tuesday night at U.S. Cellular Field.
Sox first baseman Jose Abreu hit a solo homer 407 feet to left-center field off Indians right-hander Carlos Carrasco in the first inning. Indians first baseman Carlos Santana followed with a solo shot off Hector Noesi to tie the game at 1-1.
Carrasco was knocked early from his last meeting with the Sox when he was hit in the face with a Melky Cabrera line drive.
On the mound
Noesi took the mound with an 0-1 record and 3.86 ERA. His only start was in a loss to the Twins in the Sox home opener.
At the plate
Sox center fielder Adam Eaton will lead off, followed by left fielder Melky Cabrera, first baseman Jose Abreu, designated hitter Adam LaRoche, right fielder Avisail Garcia, third baseman Conor Gillaspie, shortstop Alexei Ramirez, catcher Tyler Flowers and second baseman Micah Johnson.
