White Sox fall 11-0 to Indians as Jose Ramirez hits a grand slam and drives in 7

CHICAGO _ Jose Ramirez hit two home runs Tuesday, including a grand slam, to lead the Indians to an 11-0 victory against the White Sox in front of 13,940 at Guaranteed Rate Field.

The Indians hit four home runs as the Sox's final homestand of the season got off to a rocky start.

Ramirez hit the grand slam in the first inning and a three-run homer in the third. He had a career-high seven RBIs in his return after missing the previous 26 games because of a broken hamate bone in his right hand.

Carson Fulmer, serving as the opener for the Sox, retired the first two batters, but a walk, a single and another walk loaded the bases for Ramirez, who hit a 3-1 fastball to right field for the grand slam.

Roberto Perez began the second with a solo homer off reliever Hector Santiago. Ramirez's three-run homer came an inning later.

Oscar Mercado hit a three-run homer off Santiago in the fifth.

Zack Collins had two singles and one walk for the Sox.

Tim Anderson had an infield single in the third, extending his hitting streak to 11 games. He went 1-for-3 and leads the American League with a .334 batting average.

Eloy Jimenez went 0-for-4, snapping his 13-game hitting streak. Yoan Moncada also went 0-for-4, ending his 10-game hitting streak.
