CHICAGO _ Dylan Covey allowed one run over six innings, helping the White Sox extend their season-high winning streak to five games Friday with a 6-1 victory against the Indians at Guaranteed Rate Field.
Covey delivered his best start of the season, allowing eight hits and a walk while striking out five. The one run came via a leadoff homer by Francisco Lindor.
The Sox moved into a tie with the Indians for second place in the AL Central at 28-29. The Sox are one game under .500 for the first time since they were 14-15 on May 2.
It's the Sox's longest winning streak since they won six straight from April 23-29, 2017. They scored at least six runs for the third straight game.
Charlie Tilson drove in two runs with a ground-rule double to left in the third to give the Sox a 2-1 lead.
The Sox took advantage of spotty defense from the Indians to add three runs in the fourth. That inning included catcher Seby Zavala's first career hit, a bloop single to right.
Tilson, Yolmer Sanchez, Yoan Moncada and Yonder Alonso each had two hits.
