White Sox come back, top Marlins 8-7

MIAMI Justin Morneau cracked a pinch-hit RBI double to right field and Dioner Navarro scored on a wild pitch on Melky Cabrera's third strike in the eighth inning to give the Sox an 8-7 victory on Saturday night at Marlins Park.

The comeback erased a third straight loss for Sox right-hander James Shields.

Shields gave up seven earned runs on 10 hits in three-plus innings as the Marlins took a 7-5 lead through four innings Saturday night at Marlins Park.

Shields has surrendered 21 earned runs on 25 hits over his last three starts against the Tigers, Orioles and Marlins.

Sox rookie Jason Coats hit his first home run, a solo shot in the fourth inning that briefly tied the game at 5-5.
