The White Sox announced their summer camp roster Monday, a 44-man list that included top infield prospects Andrew Vaughn and Nick Madrigal.

The Sox’ summer camp is scheduled to begin Friday at Guaranteed Rate Field in advance of a shortened 60-game schedule slated to begin in late July.

The Sox will announce additional players who will be invited to join the taxi squad in the near future. Those players are expected to assemble at another site late next week.

Here’s the 44:

Pitchers: Drew Anderson, Aaron Bummer, Dylan Cease, Steve Cishek, Alex Colome, Jimmy Cordero, Ross Detwiler, Dane Dunning, Jace Fry, Carson Fulmer, Tayron Guerrero, Lucas Giolito, Gio Gonzalez, Ian Hamilton, Kelvin Herrera, Codi Heuer, Tyler Johnson, Dallas Keuchel, Michael Kopech, Jimmy Lambert, Reynaldo Lopez, Evan Marshall, Carlos Rodon, Jose Ruiz.

Catchers: Zack Collins, Yasmani Grandal, James McCann, Yermin Mercedes.

Infielders: Jose Abreu, Tim Anderson, Cheslor Cuthbert, Edwin Encarnacion, Leury Garcia, Nick Madrigal, Danny Mendick, Yoan Moncada, Andrew Romine, Andrew Vaughn.

Outfielders: Luis Basabe, Nicky Delmonico, Adam Engel, Eloy Jimenez, Nomar Mazara, Luis Robert.

The pool can be comprised of 60 players, with those players eligible for regular season and postseason games. Thirty players will make the Opening Day roster. That roster shrinks to 28 after two weeks and 26 for the final two weeks.

The Sox have likely pegged some of the players, especially top prospects such as first baseman Vaughn — the No. 3 pick in the draft last year who impressed during spring training but has one season of minor league experience — to participate in camp for the purpose of getting quality training reps and exposure to a big-league experience. Some players in the pool will likely not play this season.

Rodon, Kopech, Dunning and Lambert were in varying phases of recovery from Tommy John surgery during spring training but are fully recovered now.

Pitchers Zack Burdi, Matt Foster and Bernardo Flores, outfielders Micker Adolfo and Blake Rutherford and catcher Seby Zavala are players on the Sox’ 40-man roster not on the active squad, but they can be added.
