Controversial banners that read 'White Lives Matter' have been held up by people today in the capital.
Pictures have emerged of individuals holding the banners outside Edinburgh Castle earlier on today.
Individuals were also photographed holding up the banners alongside Union Jacks and Scotland flags at the Scottish Parliament building and at Bute House which is the official residence of Nicola Sturgeon.
Rumours are circulating online that the banners were held up to 'celebrate indigenous day.'
