White Lines fans think Boxer deserved much better

White Lines has become the nation’s latest bingeing obsession, with Netflix’s fun, drug-fuelled tribute to Ibiza leaving many viewers longing for a trip to the party island.

But while some fans want to head to the Balearics to enjoy their sandy white beaches, deep blue seas and electric nightlife, others are hoping to find their very own Boxer.

The muscle man of the Calafat family, played by Nuno Lopes, has fast become a fan favourite thanks to his dashing good looks and dedication to Zoe Walker (Laura Haddock) after they team up to uncover who killed her brother, DJ Axel Collins.

The pair have a deep chemistry and embark on an ill-fated romance as they seek to discover the truth (including having sex on a grave they built themselves), but their partnership is short-lived when Zoe starts to suspect that Boxer may have been behind her brother’s murder.

But even after she tortures him with a power hose, Boxer opens up to Zoe about his feelings for her – prompting many swooning fans to insist that he deserved better than the hand he was dealt.

Another said Boxer’s declaration was one of the sweetest things they’d ever seen

A third viewer said Boxer is the only character he felt sorry for – which is surprising, considering Zoe saw her brother’s body mummified and her dad die on the island

Though the finale of White Lines reveals who really did kill Axel, it leaves a number of other questions hanging in the air.

We’ll have to wait and see whether this sultry smash hit gets a second series….
