During a phone call between President Joe Biden and Prime Minister Netanyahu on Thursday, Biden encouraged Netanyahu to participate in hostage deal negotiations in Cairo over the weekend. The United States will also be part of these discussions in Cairo, as confirmed by Kirby in an interview with ABC.
Kirby emphasized that President Biden's primary goal remains securing an immediate ceasefire in exchange for the release of hostages and the provision of additional aid. Negotiators are set to convene in Cairo to address these critical issues over the weekend.
