White House in tailspin over Epstein bombshell, now claims ‘entire narrative’ is a lie

Oh, to be a fly on the Oval Office wall yesterday! I can only imagine the ashen-faced misery of staffers as they downloaded and read through the nightmarish Jeffrey Epstein birthday book.

The centerpiece was, of course, Donald Trump‘s birthday message to Epstein. This was written across the torso of what very much appeared to be a drawing of an underage girl, teasing the pair’s “wonderful secrets” together.

Back in July, when The Wall Street Journal described this message. Trump promptly blew a gasket and sued Rupert Murdoch, the newspaper, and its journalists for $10 billion, saying the message didn’t exist. It’s safe to say this legal argument has a big hole in it now, for obvious reasons.

Now it’s time to switch gears! Yes, the message exists, but it’s fake! Not only that, the ‘entire narrative’ around Epstein is a lie! Fake news! Fake news! Karoline Leavitt was given the unhappy job of explaining this garbage reasoning to very skeptical journalists:

“I did not say the documents are a hoax. I said the entire narrative surrounding Jeffrey Epstein right now…is a hoax that is being perpetuated by opportunistic Democrats like Ro Khanna.”

The journalist, displaying remarkable patience, asked Leavitt exactly what she thinks is a hoax. After all, for Trump’s birthday message to be a hoax, the entire 238-page book would have to be a hoax, and that book has been in the possession of the Epstein estate for decades.

Leavitt paused. The cogs in her head whirred, and she responded:

“….the hoax is Democrats pretending to care about victims of crime. When they do not care about victims of crime.”

That doesn’t make any sense and also doesn’t answer the question! But, to be fair to Leavitt, it must be humiliating to have to stand before the world’s media and make claims everyone in the room knows are ridiculous.

Here’s why this is dumb

If nothing else, if the Democrats really had cooked up a fake Epstein birthday book with a forged message designed to make Trump look bad, why wouldn’t they release that during the 2024 election?! In terms of political strategy, half a year into his second term is the worst time to deploy a “hoax”. Even if you just waited half a year, it’d be kinda useful during the midterms.

Secondly, claiming that Trump’s signature is obviously forged also doesn’t make sense. If you’re faking a document that you want to bring down a president, one that will obviously attract massive scrutiny, getting his signature right would be crucial! But, in reality, the Epstein signature is pretty much identical to other Trump signatures from that time.

That’s just two reasons Leavitt is spouting complete gibberish, but there are many others. Unfortunately, MAGA is at this point a cult and engaged in complete cognitive dissonance, refusing to believe the evidence that’s right in front of their noses. After all, admitting that they helped put Jeffrey Epstein’s BFF in the White House would mean… oh no, we’re the baddies!
