White House Farm viewers were left baffled last night as the actor who played Hogwarts school bully Goyle in all eight Harry Potter films appeared on telly screens looking very different.
Joshua Herdman who played Gregory Goyle in the film series was spotted by eagle-eyed fans staring as PC Collins in the new ITV series.
White House Farm began on Wednesday night, and viewers confessed finding the new take on the real-life murders both "horrific" and "chilling".
The new six-part series looks into the fateful night in August 1985, when five members of a family were murdered in their home.
Daughter Sheila was initially accused of killing her parents, two young sons and then herself, but it was her brother Jeremy Bamber who would later be accused and convicted of the murders and framing his adoptive sister.
The new drama follows the investigation into the tragic event, through research, accounts and interviews.
Eagle eyed fans spotted Josh - who was one of only 14 people to appear in all eight Harry Potter films between 2001 and 2011 - in the new drama.
The 32-year-old has appeared in a few TV series since Harry Potter, including Marcella, Strike Back and Coming Up.
But the Harry Potter star known as Draco Malfoy’s trusted lieutenant, Gregory Goyle, has also been focusing on his newly launched career - as a cage fighter.
Josh made his amateur debut as an MMA fighter in 2016 beating Polish opponent Janusz Walachowski at the City Pavilion in Romford, east London.
Harry Potter fans took to Twitter after spotting the familiar face.
One fan commented: “The fact that Goyle as in Crabbe & Goyle from Harry Potter is in #WhiteHouseFarm is weird to see."
Another asked: “Was that goyle from Harry Potter?”
And another fan swooned over his grown-up look: “JAYYYSUS Gregory Goyle got fit.”
The drama will air for six parts, with episode one alone labelled "chilling" yet "gripping" by viewers.
White House Farm continues next Wednesday at 9pm on ITV.
