White House accidentally sends baby 'Happy 101st Birthday'” card

(NBC News)

The White House accidentally sent a baby a birthday card wishing him a “Happy 101st Birthday!”

Both President Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama had signed the card, which is printed on an official White House letterhead.

Each year the Shosteds request birthday messages from the White House for their children. Benjamin is the youngest of the family's four children.

“Maybe it’s a prediction. But we’re still waiting to collect our social security checks for him,” Benjamin’s dad joked on NBC News.

The family wondered if someone else might have received a “Happy 1st Birthday!” card on their 101st birthday.

Last month, Barack Obama was serenaded on his 64th birthday with a surprise rendition of “Happy Birthday” at the Young African Leaders Summit.
