Kara, the main character of this book, is a strong, ambitious 12-year-old girl with a thirst for justice driven by the disappearance of her Mum.
It all started when her Mum died, the sadness, the confusion and the money issues. With Dougie Evens and his son Jake fuelling Kara’s anger by threatening to dredge the entire harbours seabed and more, she must stop them.
I love this book because of so many things; the environmental theme, Kara’s powerful determination, and the flow of the story. I would recommend this book everyone, we could all learn a thing or two from it! It has so many different messages entwined into the story along with friendship and bonding. It’s an amazing book!
