Fashion designer Victoria Rose Wilson has not yet visited any of sub-Saharan Africa's 46 countries.
Thanks to her multi-cultural upbringing, however, she says she can see things from an African person's perspective.
Victoria, 37, from Sandy, Beds, is forging a career in designing African clothing.
The designer was brought up brought up on council estates in Essex and east London.
She tells the Daily Star : "It's how I grew up. I get the music, I understand how they see things through their eyes in the fact that I was on the same end of what they would normally see.

"When I lived in Spain with a black African guy he made me (African dish) fufu and chicken and I didn't question it.
"I understand how culture works and how you have to adjust yourself among people from different ethnic backgrounds.
"I am a bit of a chameleon and I can adapt. Because I am a very creative person and I grew up in a very multi-cultural area so I understand different cultures."

Before turning her hand to clothes design, Victoria worked as in beauty therapy, hairdressing and as a personal assistant.
The musician and actress has auditioned for The X Factor and the Eurovision Song Contest.
