Whitby, Ont., teacher charged with sex assault of female student

AJAX, Ont. — A 34-year-old elementary school teacher is facing a number of charges in connection to an alleged sexual relationship he had with a former student.

Durham Regional Police say the man met the female student while she was attending school in Brooklin, Ont.

They allege a sexual relationship began when she was 14 and had moved onto high school.

Robert Chung of Whitby, Ont., is facing 10 charges including four counts each of sexual assault and sexual interference.

Police say they want to ensure there are no further victims and are urging anyone with information to come forward.
