Delivery company Whistl is creating 200 jobs at three new depots in the East Midlands and South West.
The biggest will be a 300,000 sq ft warehouse at Magna Park South, in Lutterworth, south Leicestershire, providing third party logistics services for its clients.
Close to the M1 and M6 in the heart of the UK’s so-called distribution “Golden Triangle”, it will have parking for 41 HGVs.
The second, 133,000 sq ft depot will be next to Whistl’s Moulton Park operation in Northampton, which opened last autumn and reached capacity by the end of the year.
A third, 35,000 sq ft depot will open in Plymouth for Clientbase Fulfilment, a Devon-based warehouse, contact centre, returns management and home delivery business that works with online shops, which Whistl acquired last year.
It will increase the number of depots in Devon to three, with 135,000 sq ft of capacity.
The 200 jobs are set to be created across the three new sites, which will take the number of Whistl depots in the UK to 11.

“Filling Northampton in a matter of weeks of opening demonstrates the attractiveness of the Whistl fulfillment proposition.
“We now have the scale and flexibility to meet the increasingly complex demands of our e-commerce customers.
“These new additions to our portfolio demonstrate our commitment to reducing our carbon impact and leading to longer term benefits for colleagues, customers and the communities we work within.”
