Whisky stolen in distillery break-in as police launch investigation

POLICE have launched an investigation after a distillery in Perth and Kinross was broken into and bottles of whisky were stolen.

Tullibardine Distillery, in Blackford, was broken into at around 10pm on Saturday, September 13.

Police said two bottles of whisky, worth a three-figure sum, were stolen.

The suspect is described as being of medium build and wearing all dark clothing, including a hooded jumper with the hood up, dark trousers, a black puffer gilet with a reflective logo, black gloves and a black balaclava.

Detective Constable Leanne Ritchie said: “Our enquiries are ongoing to trace the person responsible for this crime and I would urge anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the time to get in touch.

“I would also ask drivers with dash-cam who were in the Blackford area on Saturday evening to check their footage in case it holds anything that may help our investigation.”

Anyone with information is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident number 3506 of 13 September, 2025.
