Wickes has announced it will reopen a number of stores from tomorrow as it begins a phased reopening of all branches in the UK.
The move comes after the successful trial opening of six stores across the country which rolled out new safety measures.
The hardware store has confirmed it will open another 106 branches from Thursday, May 14, while the remaining 108 stores will open on Tuesday May 19.
All stores will follow new social distancing measures to ensure staff and customers are kept safe.
These include a limit on the number of people allowed in stores at any one time, safety markers on the floor and PPE for staff.
There will also be sanitising stations available for customers to use and the stores won't be accepting cash payments.
Store opening hours have also been reduced on Monday to Saturday, with most branches open from either 6am or 7am until 4pm or 5pm.
However, Sunday opening times remain the same at 10am to 4pm.

David Wood, CEO of Wickes, said: "The safety of our colleagues and customers is always our absolute priority.
"I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of them for how they have responded to the challenges posed by the pandemic in shifting focus to successfully serve our customers through Click & Collect and home delivery.
"We look forward to welcoming our customers back through our doors in the weeks ahead.”

Despite being deemed as an essential retailer, Wickes decided to close its doors in March to follow coronavirus lockdown restrictions.
The retailer recently opened up branches in Cheltenham, Cricklewood, Pudsey, Preston, Hailsham and Sevenoaks.
Before this, customers have only been able to order items online for home delivery or click and collect.
