Which sportsperson should release an autobiography?

There are only 78 more days until Christmas. The weather has turned, the cinemas are beginning to show Oscar-baiting films and every athlete with a story and a ghostwriter is bringing out a book.

Kevin Pietersen, Roy Keane, Rio Ferdinand, Brian O’Driscoll, Carl Froch, Gareth Thomas and Ian Poulter are all releasing autobiographies this month in the hope that they can follow the example of Sir Alex Ferguson, whose memoir became the best-selling book in the UK last year. Ever the competitor, Ferguson will be releasing an updated version of his autobiography in a few weeks’ time.

It feels as if anyone who could have written a book has already done so, but whose life would you like to read about? Which sportsperson has an interesting story that deserves to be told? Leave your suggestions in the comments section below – and have a go at writing the book’s blurb if you want.
