Which? reveals top UK seaside towns - but only two Scots locations make the list

An influential consumer guide has just named the top seaside towns in the UK to visit and only two Scottish towns made the list.

Which? asked thousands of its members to rate the beach, attractions, scenery, value for money – and more – for nearly 100 seaside towns and villages across the UK.

Using the data they've then released their list to reveal which part of the UK’s miles of idyllic coastline holidaymakers should choose for a staycation or day out.

Bamburgh in Northumberland was chosen as the top-recommended destination while only two Scotland locations made into the top 11.

Even more surprising is the fact that none of the west coast towns or those on the ever-popular North Coast 500 were even mentioned.

Of the Scottish entries, St Andrews in Fife placed highest placing in fifth with a score of 83%, and proved popular for its beach, attractions and value for money.

The only other Scottish entry in the top 11, North Berwick in East Lothian received a customer score of 81% and finished up in 7th place.

The closest other Scottish entry is Ullapool which is way down in 20th, with a score of 78%.

Do you think they've got it right? Which Scottish towns would you have included?
