Which Love Island 2023 couples are still together and who has split?

Love Island 2023 may have only ended in March, but many couples from the second winter series have already announced their split. The popular ITV2 dating show, which saw Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan win, was a pretty dramatic one with Casa Amor recouplings and brutal dumpings.

However, series nine — which was filmed in South Africa with Maya Jama at the helm — has also proved successful, with some of this year's contestants forming strong bonds that have lasted outside the famous villa. But where are the couples now?

From moving in, to romantic trips to Wales and loved-up social media snaps, there have been lots of updates from the Love Island 2023 finalists and contestants.

Here's what Samie Elishi and Tom Clare, Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan, Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga, Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins, and more have been up to since Love Island ended.

Samie and Tom came third in winter Love Island 2023 and appeared to be going from strength to strength, however, the pair have gone their separate ways.

The sad news was confirmed by Tom who told his Instagram followers: "I didn't think I'd be writing this but me and Samie have gone our separate ways... We are still on good terms and I have nothing but love and respect for her. I'm gutted it's come to an end but I truly wish Samie the best."

It comes after a source told The Sun: "Samie and Tom have sadly decided to call it a day. There is a lot of love and respect there but it just wasn’t going anywhere. The distance between them was too much and they are both really focused on their careers post Love Island."

Kai Fagan and Sanam Harrinanan - together

Kai and Sanam won the winter series and are still together. The loved-up pair have been busy enjoying trips and dates, including an adventure to Wales where they enjoyed a BBQ in Snowdonia and a day out at Zip World.

The pair have gone official since leaving the South African villa and regularly post loved up snaps on their Instagram accounts.

Ron Hall and Lana Jenkins - together

Runners-up Ron and Lana seem prepared to make long-distance work by splitting their time between Ron's base in Essex and Lana's home in Manchester. They have been enjoying double dates with their co-stars, Kai and Sanam, and recently started a TikTok together.

In a recent loved-up selfie the pair posed in their loungewear on the sofa as Ron wrote: "You, me, trackies and a film."

Shaq Muhammad and Tanya Manhenga - together

Shaq and Tanya had a particularly rough time in the South African villa, with Tanya bringing back a Casa Amor bombshell during the season's famous twist. However, the pair were quick to get back on track and came fourth in the final.

Outside the couple are still going from strength to strength and regularly post TikToks together. Following the reunion show in March, Tanya shared a picture and wrote: "My Right Hand… Life together starts now! I have a best friend in my boyfriend I can’t wait to fall deeper in love with you! If that’s even possible."

Will Young and Jessie Wynter - together

The couple came fifth on the 2023 series, being voted out just before the Love Island final and are stronger than ever. Since leaving the show, bombshell Jessie, who was first on the Australian Love Island series, has been living at Will's family farm.

She regularly features on Will's famous TikTok tending to the animals, including pigs and lambs. Jessie will be jetting back to Australia soon but hopes her boyfriend will join her.

She told her Instagram followers: "I am looking to go back to Australia at the end of May because I think that's when my visa is until. Will might be coming with me, which is really exciting, and then we're going to look at what other types of visas I can have when I get back over here. I do see myself long-term in the UK, if Will doesn't enjoy Australia too much."

Olivia Hawkins and Maxwell Samuda - split

Olivia and Maxwell seemed pretty happy when they were eliminated from Love Island in the last week. However, a representative for Olivia confirmed their split in early April.

According to the statement given to Goss.ie, which read: "Things weren’t the same between Olivia and Maxwell after they left the villa. Life has been hectic and they both decided it was best to end things.

"Olivia is happy to focus on herself right now and has a lot of exciting work projects coming up, including a role in the next Fast & Furious movie. It’s sad it didn’t work out but there’s no hard feelings between them."

However, since the news the pair have deleted all trace of one another on Instagram and Olivia has unfollowed Maxwell.

Casey O'Gorman and Rosie Seabrook - split

Casey and Rosie were dumped from the villa just days before the final and announced they had split just a week later. Following the Love Island Reunion, a fan asked Casey on Instagram: "How are things with you and Rosie?"

To which he replied: "Rosie and I have spoken... she's such a great girl. Life outside the villa is just very different and we will remain friends moving forward!" which he followed with a white heart emoji. For more showbiz and television stories get our newsletter here.
