Where the Love Island 2022 couples are now - cheating scandal to Christmas 'proposal'

Dubbed one of the most dramatic series ever thanks to classic lines such as 'You're an actress' and 'I licked her t**, or whatever', the 2022 season of Love Island will no doubt go down in TV history.

Who could forget Andrew's Casa Amor antics? Indiyah falling head over heels for Dami? Luca making headlines with his 'protective' nature, and seemingly endless Ofcom complaints? But amongst the drama, there was also a lot of love in the air.

As the weeks went on, Love Island fans cheered on the couples as they navigated their ways through the trials and tribulations of life in the famous Spanish villa.

Ekin-Su and Davide were eventually crowned the winners of Love Island 2022, with Gemma and Luca coming in second place, Dami and Indiyah finishing in third place, and Tasha and Andrew scooping up fourth place.

Meanwhile, Paige and Adam missed out on the grand finale as they were voted off the island in fifth place.

Following the news that another two Love Island couples have split, we take a look at which couples from this series are still together from Gemma and Luca's turbulent romance outside of the villa, to Deji and Lacey's heated love affair.

Since winning the 2022 Love Island series, Ekin-Su and Davide have gone from strength to strength.

Davide attended all of her Dancing On Ice performances and even made a surprise appearance in her last one by ripping his top off as she skated to Car Wash.

Throughout her training, Ekin-Su insisted that David had been "very supportive" and that their relationship had never been better.

"He's been very supportive," she said. "He's been making Epsom salt baths for me, making sure my body's relaxed, nice foot massages, nice back massages, nice nutritional meals. He wants me to smash it, he really does."

The pair moved into their swanky new home together in November and often appear on one another's Instagram Stories as they enjoy sweaty gym sessions and party the night away at club nights.

More recently, the couple enjoyed a romantic getaway away in the Maldives, with Davide sharing photos of the pair looking loved up as they wandered across the beach.

He wrote: "They told me that to make her fall in love; I had to make her laugh. But every time she laughs, I'm the one who falls in love."

In recent weeks, the couple have been surrounded by claims that Davide had been unfaithful after Ekin-Su allegedly found messages from models on his phone.

A source close to the pair said earlier this month: "It all exploded last Sunday after she found messages on Davide’s phone discussing their time together.

"He had been messaging both of the girls and she suspected they had all met up one night."

During a Q&A with fans on her Instagram Stories, the Turkish actress answered the question: "Are you and Davide still together?"

The Love Island legend appeared with Davide on her Stories to make the answer clear - smiling and laughing as she planted a huge kiss on his cheek.

Gemma and Luca

After being crowned the runner-up of the 2022 series of Love Island, Gemma and Luca had more trouble than any of the other couples from the show.

Following their seemingly public spat at the Love Island reunion, Gemma and Luca were pictured kissing and making up after Luca told a photographer that he 'had his hands full' with Michael Owen's daughter.

Gemma and Luca appeared to fall out when leaving the TV studio just a few days ago after reuniting with their fellow villa housemates.

The couple were seen leaving together but it appeared as though there was some tension as Gemma stormed ahead and Luca followed behind as they made their way to their London hotel.

Luca went on to tell a photographer that there could be trouble in paradise already despite leaving the villa less than a week ago.

Gemma was trying to keep a low profile as Luca trailed behind her.

Sensing some tension between the lovebirds, a photographer quipped to Luca: "You've got your hands full there!"

As Luca replied: "Oh don't mate! She's got the right hump with me!"

Gemma announced her split from Luca in November, saying it "wasn't an easy decision".

Luca later said that he had been "blindsided" by the break-up, telling the Mirror: "I switched my phone back on after taking some time out to clear my head, to thousands of messages and news articles about my breakup.

"I would have liked some time to process this privately but as you all already now know sadly Gemma and I made the mutual decision earlier today to go our separate ways.

"We have been on such a journey together and have made some amazing memories which I will treasure. I can’t thank everyone enough for their support for us as a couple during and after Love Island.

"We will remain good friends and I wish nothing but the best for her."

Tasha and Andrew

Model and dancer Tasha Ghouri and boyfriend Andrew Le Page are still as smitten as ever with one another after becoming the first couple from this series to be official boyfriend and girlfriend.

The blonde beauty faced heartache in the villa after Casa Amor week when Andrew's head turned for bombshell Coco Lodge - but she later made light of Andrew's infidelity and his actions under the sheets with Coco in a gushing Instagram post which she shared this week confessing her love for Andrew.

The 23-year-old dancer, who finished in fourth place with the estate agent, took to Instagram to share an emotional message about her journey on the show.

She signed off her post by referencing Andrew's highly parodied phrase: "I licked her t** or whatever."

Tasha shared a series of pictures of the loved-up couple ahead of filming for the Love Island reunion show.

Captioning the post, Tasha said: "I’m winning by having the biggest smile on my face after walking out of the villa with the most amazing man @andrewlepage ily.

"Thank you so much for all of the love and support. I’ve been catching up on all of the messages and my heart is so full.

"It sure has been a rollercoaster of emotions, as well as finding love, self growth, I’ve learnt so much about relationships and communication.

"Every lesson and situation has made me stronger and shaped me into who I am now. I walked into the villa for two reasons… Finding pure, genuine love and raising awareness about my superpower.

"To my community of superhero’s, I hope I have shown that it’s something that doesn’t define me and shouldn’t define you. I’m so excited for what the future brings, I’m honestly so grateful for all the love.

"Here’s to the future ……. or whatever."

Andrew and Tasha took their relationship to the next level at Christmas after Andrew gifted her a gorgeous promise ring.

The former estate agent surprised his belle with the stunning Tiffany and Co ring on Christmas Day much to her delight.

More recently, The pair previously enjoyed a romantic reunion in Australia after Andrew jetted Down Under to be with her.

Tasha and Andrew remain more loved up than ever having recently returned from a luxury holiday to Mexico, where she praised her beau for helping her around a waterpark after she removed her cochlear implant.

Paige and Adam

Paige and Adam's Love Island journey was steeped in drama after rugby hunk Jacques O'Neill, who was coupled up with Welsh beauty Paige, quit the show after former Love Island star Adam made an explosive comeback to the ITV show - with his eyes firmly set on Paige.

After Jacques decided to sensationally quit the show after a four-week stint, Paige wasted no time in moving on with Adam, finding a true connection with the former self-confessed 'womaniser'.

The pair just missed out on the final, finishing in fifth place behind Tasha and Andrew, and since leaving the villa, they have been forced to deny split rumours.

Since being back in the 'real world', Paige and Adam were blighted with a number of split rumours.

Initially, the pair put on a defiant display last week as they headed to the series wrap-up show together.

However, their relationship lasted only two months amid cheating rumours after clips surfaced of Adam getting close with a woman on a night out. Paige subsequently removed all traces of him from her social media page.

After the pair took a break, Paige confirmed that she was single and claimed that she had more video evidence of Adam being unfaithful during their short-lived romance.

Speaking on the Saving Grave podcast, Paige said: "I’m single – living my best life. No I’m kidding, it’s been a really s**t time."

She added: "It’s not just that video. There are other videos that people don’t know about of different people, on the same night, in different locations.

"At first, I was like, nah do you know what? It’s just an arm. I get that people get flirty. There’s nothing to it. If I’m in the club and a guy puts his arm around me, is it cheating? No.

"And then these other videos came out and I’m just like, ooh. Ooh, I can’t justify this."

Paige's co-star Dami also hit out at Adam, accusing him of "playing a game".

Paige later appeared to get cosy with ex Jacques on a night out, with the male Islander admitting that he still had feelings for her.

However, it appears both are still single.

Dami and Indiyah

Dami and Indiyah, who finished in third place, are very much still together and loving life together on the 'outside'.

After getting third place, Dami and Indiyah sat down to chat with Love Island host Laura Whitmore about their turbulent journey.

Indiyah joked she knew Dami was a 'bit of me' when he walked into the villa and she noticed his nipple piercing.

Dami, 26, and Indiyah, 23, were the only couple to receive no votes from their fellow Islanders as the contestants voted for who they thought was the least compatible during the last week in the villa.

The couple’s journey in the villa was certainly not smooth sailing, but after patching up after an explosive Casa Amor showdown, the couple quickly became fan favourites.

Lovebirds Dami and Indiyah also faced an unexpected reception from their families on Meet the Parents day, as Dami was grilled by Indiyah’s mum and sister when they stepped into the Love Island villa.

Indiyah’s mum, Dee, and sister Shak began by giving Dami a severe grilling over his Casa Amor behaviour, including his notorious three-way kiss.

Not long after, Dee actually called Dami, ‘Deji’, misnaming him for Casa Amor bombshell Deji Adeniyi, who Indiyah had recoupled with after Casa Amor.

Dami was left stunned by Dee’s mistake, especially after Indiyah herself has made the error a few times before.

Since the villa, the couple still appears to be going strong, with Indiyah securing a number of huge fashion deals and will also be one of the hosts of the Love Island podcast.

She's also appeared every week on Aftersun with podcast co-host Sam Thompson, with Dami often supporting her in the wings.

Speaking to PWR magazine, Indiyah said: "Me and Dami are a lot closer now since we've come out, it's been easier as time goes along.

"It's not easy, when we first came out, we had arguments, and they weren’t about my character flaws or his character flaws, it's just that we’re in a new environment and you’re still getting to know each other when you come out."

Danica and Jamie

Sadly, it wasn't meant to be for Danica Taylor and Jamie Allen, who split just weeks after leaving the Love Island villa.

The dancer was photographed kissing Roman Hackett, prompting rumours that the couple had split.

Danica later insisted she and Jamie were never an official item and she and 20-year-old Roman are "just friends".

Speaking to the Mirror on the red carpet for the People's Pet Awards, Danica explained: "Me and Jamie were never together. We came out of the villa and we very much liked each other and things were going well, but it sort of started to fizzle out – he has his life, I have mine.

"It's not quite worked out as we planned but it doesn't mean that there wouldn't necessarily be anything in the future it just means that right now we're just doing our own thing.

"I've got nothing but good words to say about him and, who knows really. What will be will be."

Love Island fans first feared the couple had already called it quits after Danica failed to post any mention of Jamie on social media following their return to the UK in August.

Summer and Josh

Love Island stars Summer Botwe and Josh Le Grove surprised fans last year after seeming to confirm their relationship as they stepped out hand-in-hand to The Prey gala screening in London.

Both Summer and Josh admitted that there was an undeniable spark between them while they were in the villa together, but Josh was unfortunately dumped from the island before they could explore their romance further.

Despite being surprised by a romantic dinner date together on Aftersun, with Josh saying that he couldn't 'wait to see' what could happen between them, it wasn't meant to be.

During Love Island's explosive reunion show, it emerged that something may have happened between Josh and Summer's pal Coco.

Summer later posted on her Instagram Story saying that she and Josh are now just "friends" and has also alluded that her "argument" with Coco Lodge on the Love Island reunion show was "heavily edited".

Deji and Lacey

Although sparks flew between Deji Adeniyi and Lacey Edwards in the Love Island villa, the couple split after Deji was accused of sleeping with Coco.

The insider claimed at the time: “Everyone could tell it was awkward between them at the Reunion after Lacey delivered some home truths. Now they've called it quits and are no longer seeing each other.

"Lacey didn't want to force something that wasn't meant to be and then the rumours about Deji and Coco were the final straw between them."

Days before the split, Lacey revealed hopes that Deji would take her on a date but admitted the pair had struggled to spend time together since leaving the villa.

Lacey explained to the Mirror: "Me and Deji are FaceTiming and talking every day. It was so nice to see him at the wrap party.

"We really wanna carry on things but right now we're just on different paths. He's at one event and I'm at one event and we're trying – it was so good to see him on Monday."
