Which LoL champion says ‘Joy is not an easy power to master. It infects you, becomes you’?

My mind drew a blank when I laid my eyes on today’s LoLdle quote. It doesn’t really give away any clues, leaving me struggling to come up with the answer. I got there in the end, but it took me a lot longer than I’d like to be spending on a League of Legends-themed Wordle clone.

LoLdle quote June 5 hints

Hint 1: This champion hit the live servers in 2022.

League has been around for a long time now (at least in terms of live service games), making this champion virtually brand new in the scale of things. In 2022, players were graced with Bel’Veth, K’Sante, Renata Glasc, Zeri, and this champion.

Hint 2: This champion is a bot laner.

This champion was designed to play in the bot lane as an AD Carry. They pretty much fall flat in every other lane, but it’s no wonder considering their kit. They actually have a 53 percent win rate in the current patch, making them one of the best in the position.

Hint 3: The Joy Unbound.

This champion is known as “The Joy Unbound.” They “won” their power after beating a demon of joy, leaving them with no emotions other than pure jubilation. Imagine being around someone so happy all the time. It sounds like a pain in the pass.

Who says “Joy is not an easy power to master. It infects you, becomes you”?

Answer: The champion who says, “Joy is not an easy power to master. It infects you, becomes you,” is Nilah, the Joy Unbound.

I know next to nothing about this champion, so it was a bit of a lesson reading up on them. If you knew their lore, the “joy” part of this quote probably gave away the answer. But if you didn’t —like me—you likely struggled.

How many guesses did it take you to get to Nilah? Let us know in the comments below and check back tomorrow for the next LoLdle puzzle!
