Which issues, topics and countries do you want to read about in 2016?

Last year was a crucial one for development; 2016 is set to be a challenging one as countries attempt to make good on the pledges they made in 2015. Leaders will be expected to convey their plans for implementing the sustainable development goals – an ambitious plan to end poverty and inequality by 2030 – as well as show commitments to meet the climate deal negotiated in Paris in December. They will also have to show leadership in the face of ongoing conflicts and growing humanitarian need.

In the midst of this, general elections are due to take place in Uganda, Niger, Somalia, Ghana and the Philippines; Turkey will host the world humanitarian summit, which aims to find a better way to deliver humanitarian aid; and hundreds of thousands of people will visit Rio for the Olympic Games in August, an event that many people living in the city’s favelas hope will shine a light on inequality.

We’d like to know what you’d most like to read about. Whether you’d like to see greater focus on a particular issue, country or social movement, leave your thoughts in the form below.
