Greggs is finally reopening its doors across the UK this week, including 12 branches in Merseyside.
After waiting for weeks for announcements from the likes of McDonald’s and KFC, Greggs fans in Liverpool had been wondering if we’d be among the first to reopen.
Thankfully, Greggs is giving us just what we’ve been waiting for.
This week the bakery will reopen 800 of its stores for takeaway only, with a reduced menu and all seating areas and toilets closed to the public.
12 stores across Merseyside will reopen tomorrow, June 18.

- St Chad's Parade, Kirkby
- Bold Street, Liverpool city centre
- Lord Street, Liverpool city centre
- Liverpool Shopping Park, Edge Lane
- Greggs at Asda Huyton
- Great Homer Street, Vauxhall
- Prospect Point, Prescot Street (L6 1BA)
- Marian Square, Netherton, Bootle
- South Road, Waterloo
- St Helens, Church Square
- Forest Walk, Runcorn
When stores do reopen there will be a limited menu available, though a number of fan favourites including its Steak Bake, Vegan Sausage Roll, Pizzas and Tuna Crunch baguette will still be available.
New safety measures will be in place across all shops to help keep customers and staff safe.
Greggs has introduced a one-way system to help ensure social distancing and new screens are at all till points.
Only one adult per household will be permitted to enter the shop at a time to join a social distanced queue, and there will be a reduced number of colleagues behind the tills.
