The period between Christmas and new year can be a confusing one. Meal times seems to have been replaced by constant grazing on cheese and leftovers, it is acceptable to be in your pyjamas at any time of day and all sense of your usual routine has been lost.
It can be difficult to keep track of the days especially if you have the time off work. To make things more confusing Christmas Day and New Year's Day are both on a Sunday this year which means the bank holiday has been moved.
For many it means an extra day off work, while for some it another chance to earn some extra money if you have to work. But when do the extra bank holidays fall?

Christmas Day is tomorrow, you probably knew that, and the next day is already an official bank holiday as it is of course Boxing Day. That means the bank holiday for Christmas will fall on Tuesday, December 27.
The day after New Year's Day is not a bank holiday, so Monday, Jan 2 is the officially the first bank holiday for 2023. That means if you wanted the whole week off between Christmas and New Year you would only need to book the 28th, 29th and 30th - as long as your place of work stops for bank holidays of course.
