Countries across the globe have now moved to ban travel from the UK after fears over the new coronavirus variant.
Since the new lockdown announcement on Saturday, over 40 places have imposed bans on links to Britain - including flights, ferries and rail - prohibiting arrivals from Britain entering.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has advised that international travel may become increasingly restricted following the identification of the new variant of the virus. Travellers are warned that countries may close borders, restrict movement or bring in quarantine rules with little warning.
However they have said they are now working to support British nationals affected by the restrictions, which have essentially cut off UK passengers from the rest of the world.
The UK have alerted the World Health Organisation (WHO) about the new variant of the virus, which is understood to have been discovered in another six countries outside of Britain.
Scientists now believe that this new variant is likely to become the dominant strain, after mutations made it up to 70% more infectious.
And while it is currently unclear if this new strain originated in the UK, British scientists were the first to identify it.
Regardless where the new variant of Covid-19 came from, countries across the globe have rushed to close their borders to anyone arriving from the UK.
These are currently all the countries and territories currently banning entry to arrivals from Britain.
