Which celebrities are doing the Great North Run 2019? Here are 22 familiar faces

During the countdown to the Great North Run, some familiar names have been among those taking their training up a gear.

Stars from across the world of entertainment, TV and sport are to join the tens of thousands of runners signed up to this Sunday’s event.

The annual run - which turns the international spotlight on the North East - always attracts a host of big names who add to the buzz of the day.

And, following the welcome news that Olympic champ Mo Farah confirmed he’ll will be back at the front of the pack once more - as expected, 22 familiar faces now have been revealed who will  be among the runners in .

Here are the celebrities who will be taking up this year’s Simplyhealth Great North Run challenge and who no doubt will be easily recognised on the day.

When we find out more, we'll reveal their chosen charities to benefit from their efforts - and even what they may be wearing!
