Whether You Favor Fruity or Floral Aromas, the Best Summer Fragrances Have Something for Everyone

It's beginning to feel like summer. (Credit: Courtesy of Ceremonia)

We love a good trend. Especially if it involves something already in our closet. When it comes to fragrance, however, we admit that we tend to favor universally accepted aromas that fluctuate with the seasons. In fall and winter, for example, we crave deeper, moodier perfumes. For spring, it's all about fresh, lighter formulas. So it makes sense that our best 2025 summer fragrances list is full of summer-approved notes.

First up, florals. From roses to violets to peonies to lilies and even geraniums, you can pick your favorite flower and spritz it on all season long. Fruit is also on the menu. (Frequently paired with the already acknowledged bouquets.) Tropical produce, including guava, coconut, mango and banana, are pretty prevalent. There are also seasonal staples, like oranges, lemons and peaches.

Ready to bring a little summer to your vanity? Shop the best 2025 summer fragrances below.

Jo Malone London

Jo Malone London Beach Blossom Cologne, $168 at Sephora

Summer lovin' in bottle form. This solar fragrance transports you to the palm-fringed beaches of the Seychelles. It's all thanks to fresh notes of lime, a twist of coconut water and rich tonka bean.

Maison Margiela REPLICA

Maison Margiela REPLICA Never-Ending Summer Eau de Toilette With Orange and Spritz Accord, $165 at Sephora

If citrus aromas are your jam this time of year, you're in luck. This new fragrance features key notes of spritz accord, orange and vetiver. There's even a Polaroid of oranges growing along the Amalfi Coast of Italy pictured on the bottle.

Chanel

Chanel CHANCE EAU SPLENDIDE Eau de Parfum Spray, $176 at Ulta Beauty

The latest edition of this staple scent comes courtesy of in-house perfumer Olivier Polge. Its fruity/floral personality includes raspberry accord, rose, violet, powdery iris, cedar, white musk along with geranium grown in Chanel's fields in Grasse.

Ceremonia

Ceremonia Perfume Mist de Guava, $38 at Sephora

Ceremonia's amazing aroma pulls double duty. You can spritz the blend of guava, lemon zest and peach all over. Literally. Spray it on your pulse points for a refreshing pick-me-up or in your hair for sun-kissed shimmer.

DedCool

DedCool Mochi Milk Fragrance, $90 at DedCool

Now for something completely different. DedCool tastefully marries peach nectar and marshmallow whipped with sweetened rice milk. Amber, sandalwood and white musk join the party to make an aroma that feels like you're sleeping on a cloud.

Boy Smells

Boy Smells Rosy Cheeks Perfume With Pomegranate, $78 at Sephora

Fashion is still obsessed with Y2K and apparently so is beauty. Boy Smells' new fragrance is a nod to the era's fruity favorites. Rosy Cheeks contains cassis and pomegranate balanced by rose, vanilla orchid and sandalwood.

COS

COS Perfumery Eau de Parfum in Fleuriste, $99 at COS

COS' new line of perfumes is just as nuanced as its clothes. Each scent is formulated with 20 percent oil for a lasting finish. Fleuriste kicks things off by merging pink pepper with bergamot and mandarin. At its heart are rose damascena, magnolia and peony. Light woods, sweet musks and Madagascan vanilla planifolia round things out nicely.

Juliette has a gun

Juliette has a gun Miami Shake Eau de Parfum With Strawberry & Vanilla, $150 at Sephora

Can't swing a trip to Miami right now? No problem. Just pick up this warm and spicy scent. Wild strawberry meets sweet notes of whipped cream and vanilla with a subtle orange blossom twist. Basically, the best milkshake you've ever tasted. The bottle is just as impressive boasting blue and pink pastels to evoke South Beach vibes.

Glossier

Glossier You Fleur Eau de Parfum, $78 at Glossier

Glossier's fragrances keep getting better and better. Take You Fleur, a next-level skin scent. The floral concoction has mineral salt accord, osmanthus, ylang ylang, apricot skin and cashmeran enhanced by ambrox. The perfume smells different on everyone so it's truly unique.

Byredo

Byredo Blanche Absolu de Parfum, $280 at Byredo

The brand's beloved Blanche fragrance gets punched up with a more intense yet not overpowering musk around a floral heart. Black pepper and rich amber wood notes complete the experience.

Philosophy

Philosophy Fresh Cream Soft Velvet Eau de Toilette, $54 at Ulta Beauty

Philosophy's fresh aroma is truly delectable. It helps that it has creamy vanilla and rich chocolate at its base. Add in ginger accord along with casablanca lily and you've got one tempting seasonal treat.

Ellis Brooklyn

Ellis Brooklyn GUAVA GRANITA Eau de Parfum With Vanilla and Banana, $115 at Sephora

This fruit cocktail includes guava juice — natch — mango blossom, Cavaillon melon and banana. There's also vanilla, almond milk and sandalwood for a more complex concentration. The statement-making bottle is inspired by "vintage Palm Springs and the color of ripe pink guavas."
