Where you can see this huge stream train in Wales today

A huge steam train is heading through south Wales on Tuesday, December 10.

The well-known 60163 Tornado train will be travelling along the west Wales to London mainline on December 10 as part of a Christmas trip.

Although the train looks like something from the last century, it was actually completed in 2008 making it the first steam train to be be built in the UK since 1960.

After the train departs from London on Tuesday morning, the locomotive will pass through Newport before arriving in Cardiff .

Where can I see it?

The train left from London Paddington at 7.14am and will arrive in Newport at 12.39pm before arriving in Cardiff Central at 12.58pm.

What about on the way back?

The return journey will depart from Cardiff Central at 4.40pm and pass through Newport at 5pm before arriving in London Paddington at 11.22pm.

The trip is part of a Christmas shopping day out with hundreds of passengers onboard.

Mulled wine and mince pies will be served to first and standard class passengers on board.

The train was named by Prince Charles at a ceremony in York in 2009.
