Piers Morgan interviewed footballer Cristiano Ronaldo on his Uncensored Talk TV show, with the first half seeing Ronaldo speak out against Manchester United.

In the shocking interview, he accused the club of “betrayal” and insisted he would never respect manager Erik ten Hag. He also insulted a number of past players.

He also said Manchester United had “stopped on a clock” and “the progress was zero”.

Ronaldo told Morgan: “A club with this dimension should be the top of the tree, in my opinion, and they are not, unfortunately. They are not in that level. But I hope the next years they can reach to be in a top level.

“I don’t know what’s going on but, since Sir Alex Ferguson left, I saw no evolution in the club, the progress was zero.”
